1939 RCA, model #96x1 AM + SW (18 Mhz) radio, is in excellent working condition, playing LOUD & clear with 5" speaker. Features: brown bakelite w/ 'Deco' style design by John Vassos, step-down top, unique front-slit dial, curved left with horizontal wrap-around louvers, (3) original ivory knobs (on/off/volume, band switch, & tuning), open back, and a very clean chassis.

Electronically tested and restored including (6) tubes (one is a ballast), all testing strong on a calibrated Hickok 539c tube tester, plus new capacitors and AC cord providing long term playing reliability. The radio plays extremely well with maximum selectivity and sensitivity for VERY STRONG reception and a full mellow tone. Of note, there is a very fine 1" hairline near the tuning dial. This does not affect the great performance. Radio measures, 11.25" W x 8" H x 7.5" D; wt. = 8.5 lbs.

A classic 'Deco' tube sounding radio, great looking in Near Mint or better condition, and a Reserve to match the rarity -- toss the book value away on this one!... SOLD
